New York Drainers 3/7/11
When you say surfing, New York isn’t quite the first place you think of. With La Nina showing up this year, the United States has seen good swells on all 3 coasts. On 3/7/11, conditions off Long Island set up perfect for a barrel barrage. Off-shore winds and a waist-high shelf jacked up some nice A-frames, giving these surfers a big tubular playground. Without much of a crowd and the waves working like that, the cold water dosen’t seem so cold.
